CAKE EATER/PILLOW QUEEN

CAKE EATER / PILLOW QUEEN is a psychological thriller about the pitfalls of assimilation and the perils of forgetting the dead. The central character -- a bratty medium with a penchant for chocolate cake -- explores the connections and disconnections between ancestral baggage, gentrification and anti-black racism among white liberal women (and those who pass as such). CAKE EATER PILLOW QUEEN challenges audiences to question their assumptions about identity and authenticity, who they are and who they aren’t, and where we might be headed in this painful moment of collective transformation.
